[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Usher [/lastfm]wants to donate the money he recieved from Libyan Leader Muammar Gaddafi for a performance for the troubled leaders family. He also goes on to claim that he, along with other performers, are feeling the same way about the money they received.
According to an unpublished media base TCS:
USHER has joined [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]NELLY FURTADO[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]BEYONCÉ [/lastfm]and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]MARIAH CAREY [/lastfm]in apologizing for accepting BIG paychecks to perform for the family of Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi in recent years.
Like all the others, Usher claims he didn’t realize it was Gaddafi’s money . . . and like Nelly and Beyoncé, but not Mariah, he’s now donating it to charity.
He says, quote, “I’m sincerely troubled to learn about [this]. I’ll be donating all of my personal proceeds from that event to various human rights organizations.” (–[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]50 CENT[/lastfm] is the last known Gaddafi performer yet to release a statement on this.)
