We’ve just received news that Basketball Wives LA star Jackie Christie, wife of retired basketball player Doug Christie lost her mother this past week after she succumbed to a battle with liver cancer.

Those of you who have been following the first season of Basketball Wives LA probably remember Jackie’s mother who appeared on a few episodes of the show. In the 2nd episode of season 1, Jackie is shown with her mother having a conversation about her medical issues with cancer. In the episode Jackie is emotional because she has just learned that doctors can do nothing more to help her mother recover from the tragic disease. Jackie’s mother appeared in a few more episodes, including a episode of Doug and Jackie renewing their nuptials in Las Vegas for the 16th time. Jackie’s mother is seen viewing the ceremony via skype.
