Last year, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Willow Smith[/lastfm] was giving us whiplash with her out-of-the-box dance-hit “Whip My Hair.” She was certainly poised for instantaneous success, but like a 10-year-old must, the youngster went back to the daily grind of being a child of wealthy, successful parents.
Well, Smith wasn’t just raking in cash on her one single. The young whippersnapper was obviously chilling in the studio with some important peeps like [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Nicki Minaj[/lastfm], making future hit singles like “Fireball.”
Produced by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Stoopid Robots[/lastfm], Willow Smith’s new song “Fireball” is a well-written, fun, and feisty–just like “Whip My Hair.” Our favorite part of the song just happens to be that of Minaj, however, with lines like “You’re real major even though you’re a minor,” raps Nicki on her playful verse. “I’m the Street Fighter, call me Chun-Li/ … Built the guest house to put the coupe in ’cause I’m a fireball, Hadouken!”
- What do you think? Is “Fireball” just as good as “Whip My Hair?” Do you think Willow Smith has a successful future ahead of her? Let us know in the comments!
