American Idol star [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Ruben Studdard[/lastfm] has been married for three years and just recently filed for a divorce.

According to TMZ

The baritone-voiced singer filed papers in Alabama blaming the break up on “irreconcilable differences.” A rep for Studdard told the celebrity news site that “Ruben and Zuri have gone their separate ways.

Whether or not there is a new woman in Ruben’s life remains unknown, but the fact that he is no longer married may help him focus on his music carer and lead him to getting back in the studio.
