Carly Rae Jepsen, who currently has the number one song in the country with her very first single, “Call Me Maybe,” has joined forces with another one-hit wonder artist, Owl City, for the bouncy and infectious “Good Time.”
It’s a bubbly anthem to the summer vacay, with Owl City mastermind Adam Young and Jepsen swapping out vocal duties on the verses. While the lyrics are rather trite (try NOT giggling to yourself the first time you hear Young’s over-pronunciation of the lyric “Hands up if you’re down to get down tonight”), they’re definitely catchy and seem somewhat better suited to Jepsen’s voice. And just try to sit still while you listen to the song. It’s not easy!
“Good Time” will become available on iTunes on June 26th. The new Owl City album, The Midsummer Station, is set to be released on August 14th.
