Tropical Storm Debby has changed track once again, this time coming ashore anywhere from Cedar Key to Tampa by midweek. As of the 2 pm advisory a new projected path has been issued bringing a direct impact to Central Florida with more heavy rain and gusty winds.
Debby has weakened to a 45 mph storm with movement still to the NE at 5 mph. Debby will affect the weather over the peninsula of Florida for the better part of this week bringing high rain chances through Friday.
The next advisory with an updated projected path will be released around 5 pm.
A state of emergency has been issued for the state of Florida.
A tornado watch remains in effect for Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Polk, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia counties in the Orlando metro area until 2pm. A tornado watch means tornadic conditions are possible in the watch area.
