Nas is capping off a banner year with a New Year’s performance at the Radio City Music Hall. The celebrated MC will headline the gig at the landmark venue with soulful singer-songwriter Elle Varner who is slated as the opening act.

“There is no better place for me to spend New Year’s Eve than New York City, and there aren’t many better places to perform in this world than Radio City,” said Nas in a statement.

In July, Nas released his critically acclaimed album Life Is Good, which debuted at No. 1 on the sales charts.

Tickets for the December 31 show will go on sale Friday, September 14th at Noon. –Keith Murphy, CBS Local
