She may share the same last name as a notorious Republican president, but Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon is decidedly Democratic in her pick for POTUS this year.

Speaking with Melony Torres, Nixon stated that not only was she against Mitt Romney gaining entrance to the White House, but her Sex and the City character, ambitious lawyer Miranda Hobbes, would definitely have issues with Romney as well.

“I think Miranda Hobbes would rather shoot herself in the head than vote for Mitt Romney,” Nixon exclaimed. “Mitt Romney is so terrible on women’s issues.”

Nixon went on to say, “I know that there are women who support him, and it’s hard for me to understand, but certainly Miranda nor Carrie nor Charlotte nor Samantha, none of those women would ever vote for Mitt Romney. They would do something terrible first before they would ever vote for Mitt Romney.”

Nixon, who married Christine Marinoni in May of this year in New York after same-sex marriage was declared legal in the state, is currently on the campaign trail for Barack Obama. Nixon appeared today at several Obama For America events in Florida.
