Last night saw the debut of outrageous “Starships” singer Nicki Minaj as an American Idol judge. Many people were anxious to watch simply to witness the rumored feud between Minaj and fellow judge Mariah Carey begin to unfold. Who knows how much of that feud is real and how much is staged banter meant for instant publicity, but a strong competition between the two divas was definitely sensed during Season 12′s debut episode.

One JAMZ employee was  surprised by the level of empathy that Minaj showed to the contestants who were quickly bumped from the show but noticed that her behavior with her fellow judges was much less cordial.

Overall Twitter reaction to her debut was not exactly supportive.
