Adele isn’t the only one performing at the Oscars this year.
The producers of the 85th Academy Awards revealed that the night will feature a tribute to the best movie musicals of the last decade and will include performances from Jennifer Hudson, who won Best Supporting Actress for Dreamgirls, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Amanda Seyfried, Helena Bonham Carter, Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Russell Crowe.
The night’s other tribute, this one to 50 years of Bond, will now not only feature Adele performing her Oscar-nominated theme “Skyfall” for the first time ever, but Shirley Bassey taking on her 1971 theme, “Diamonds Are Forever.” The performance also marks Bassey’s first time on the Oscar stage.
The producers unfortunately didn’t spill any beans about what exactly Barbra Streisand will sing for the first time she graces the Oscar stage in 36 years, but they did reveal that viewers should expect a musical number or two from host Seth MacFarlane. The producers swear he sounds like Frank Sinatra.
The funny guy is nominated for Best Original Song thanks to his song “Everybody Needs A Best Friend” from his movie Ted, which will be sung by Norah Jones on Oscar night.
What performances are you most excited to see on Oscar night?
