Hurricane Expo

10:00am – 3:00pm

Hurricane Season is quickly approaching; are you prepared?  The “I Can Be Prepared: Hurricane Expo” is a free, entertaining and informative event for the entire community.  Dozens of vendors are on display, representing private companies and government agencies, to take the mystery out of storm season preparation and make the homework for family disaster planning a little easier.

7:00 am: 5k (3.1 miles)
8:00 am: Watermelon Eating Contest
8:15 am: Kids’ Run
Please arrive 45 min. to an hour early

It’s time for fun in the sun! Gather friends, family and neighbors for a morning to celebrate our country’s independence with food, and fitness! All runners receive a festive t-shirt, plentiful refreshments, ice-cold watermelon and more.

As the economy continues to affect local residents, Pendas Law Firm, 102 JAMZ and Gospel JAMZ are uniting to FEED ORLANDO. Many children and families are going hungry and while many find charity within themselves during the holidays, this problem is not solved outside of those times. With your non-perishable donations, today and everyday, we will make a difference. Year round, we will distribute food to local families in need via our distribution partner – Bread of Life Fellowship.
