Hip-hop was in the house last night at the ESPY Awards as Nas and Swizz Beatz took to the stage to perform several tracks from his much anticipated album Life Is Good.
Nas’ new album title, Life Is Good, calls to mind cool breezes and cold glasses of lemonade. While the 38-year-old MC created the set in the midst of life-changes, he’s once again given hip-hop a look at life from another perspective. He recently revealed where the title came from and where the music is going.
As Nas readies his tenth studio album, the Illmatic MC has taken on a new role. He recently explained how he’s become an elder statesmen of sorts to the younger generation of hip-hop stars, including Nicki Minaj and Odd Future’s Tyler, the Creator.
